The backpack straps are both adjustable and removable, allowing for the bag to be transformed into a crossbody bag. The leather for this style was sourced from a Leather Working Group (LWG) rated tannery. LWG assesses tanneries on their water use, energy use, waste management, chemical management and traceability; among other key indicators. The tannery that processed this leather has a Gold rating from LWG.

B.N. are members of the Worldly HIGG platform, where they report on electricity, water, waste and chemical impact. They have recently installed rooftop solar, with the intention of increasing their use of renewable electricity. The factory also undergoes annual SMETA social compliance audits, which are conducted by a third party and provide transparency into worker wellbeing and wages.

Care Instructions
To maintain the beauty of your ELK bag we recommend protective sprays and using a good quality leather conditioner to treat the product, which will increase its longevity. Do not put leather pieces on the ground or rub against abrasive surfaces. Leather is a natural material and will wear with age and use. The dye in the leather can sometimes rub off so please be aware of this when wearing light clothing or placing the leather item on light surfaces.
